PRIMUS!
I'm super excited to be part of the 2014 edition of the Primus Poster Series!! Besides being a big fan of Primus, there are some seriously talented artists in this year's lineup. Each artist does one poster that advertises one show on the band's current tour. I recently finished my poster art and it has been printed - a limited 6-color screenprint done masterfully by the skilled hands at Galaxy Graphics in Rochester, NY. I can't release the art or any details about the show it advertises for until the band does, but I can at least put up this photo of me signing the prints earlier today (almost like a real artist or something!). I will have a few copies of the poster for sale in my webstore after the show - I will add it to the store and announce it here once I do, keep your eyes peeled to my site if you're interested! Had a lot of fun doing this, thanks to Zoltron for bringing me in on this!
Giclée Prints Available!
I am now offering some really nice giclée prints of my recent piece "Pretty Don't Win Races" They're available HERE in my webstore.
Sticker Robot Feature!
My postal stickers got featured on Stickerobot.com!
Check it out HERE.
Here are a few more, been doing a lot of these lately. More than 50 now, in fact. This is just a sample.
I have a new product in my webstore - a booklet/zine of many of my recent postal stickers, printed in full color, 24 pages. It comes with 2 original one of a kind hand-drawn postal stickers, plus an assortment of digitally printed stickers of my other art. $10 shipped anywhere in the USA (a little more for international shipping to cover the extra shipping costs). Pretty good deal. Click HERE to go to this product in my webstore.

Pretty Don't Win Races - the variant
Finally got this painted. 18x24", ink, watercolor, and a little acrylic. I like how it came out. Time to frame it and stack it with the rest I guess. Hope you enjoy.

Pretty Don't Win Races
Very proud of this one - hand drawn linework, digital color. I'll be painting over the linework in watercolor on the original piece (about 18x24") to create an alternate version as well. Hoping to be able to use this art in some sort of product - maybe a print, maybe a t-shirt, not sure yet. Gonna shop it around a bit and see if anyone is willing to pick it up. Hope you dig it.

Sikpipes
Did this mural a little while back, been lazy on updating my site. Here it is, about 7x40 feet, all spraypaint, took me two days of painting to do it but it worked out well I think. Done for Sikpipes at their shop in Tioga, PA. Had a blast doing this, definitely down to do some more projects like this if anyone needs it!
The room I painted this in wasn't large enough to get a straight-on shot of the whole wall, so I had to settle for a composite of many shots. I've included the composite below as well as a couple closeups.

High on Fire "what if"

Some Sketches and 'What-if's'
I've been having fun doing some sketchwork recently, thought I'd post a few up. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram (@1000styles) you've already seen these but I wanted to have them here too.
I also did a couple "what-if" sketches, these aren't actual contracted projects from the Black Dahlia Murder or Job For A Cowboy, just took a few minutes with a couple sketches to see what they'd look like as t-shirt graphics for these bands. I liked how they turned out so here they are.

With a Noose Around My Neck
Recently did this graphic for The Devil Wears Prada, I'm pretty sure I like how it came out. It should be for sale at their merch table as you read this, on their current tour with As I Lay Dying. Hopefully it printed well! It has a back graphic too, but it's just a type treatment so I won't bother posting it. The front is really where it's at. The art is actually loosely based on the true story of a man named John Babbacombe Lee - an Englishman who was sentenced to hang in 1885 for the murder of his elderly employer, but because of gallows malfunctions three separate times, he survived his sentence. He eventually made his way to America, supposedly made money off his story, and died sometime in the first half of the 20th century. I just liked the story so I based the art off it. Hope you dig it.

Kevin
Just finished this little beast. I'm naming him Kevin. Standing tall at a full three inches, he's not a big guy but definitely makes up for it with that bite. Structurally, he's a repurposed plastic toy combined with an authentic found squirrel skull, finished in acrylic paint. I had a lot of fun making this, it's my first foray into sculpture since high school I think. Might have to go looking for more skulls and make this the first of a series. Who knows. I think I'll probably put him up for sale in my shop within a few days, until then I'll just keep him on the kitchen table and gross out my wife. Ha!

T-shirts on Sale!
I am putting all remaining stock of 1000styles t-shirts on sale, I need to clear out the shelves. Everything I have is now only $10 each, and there are pretty limited sizes and styles left (some sizes/styles are down to one shirt left) so if you want something, now's the time. I don't reprint. I'm also doing a grab bag - 3 brand new 1000styles t-shirts for $15 - you pick the size in mens or womens, I pick the shirts.
You need to buy Christmas presents, I need to sell t-shirts, see how this works? Click the 'SHOP' image to the right to get the goods, or just click HERE.

Four on the Gore!
Recently finished this one for Lethal Threat clothing company. Definitely enjoyed doing this - another example of the hotrod/lowbrow style I've been really into lately. Inked by hand, colored digitally. I'll probably take the inkwork and create a variant of this with watercolor eventually like I've done with some other pieces.

IRONWOOD
Just finished this mural at Ironwood Restaurant in Manlius, NY. It's 6x33 feet, all spraypaint. The piece looks better in real life, I couldn't get a very good angle or correct lighting, but you get the idea. I'm going to get more shots of it once they install the lighting, tables, galvanized steel plates on the lower section of wall, etc.

Monster Pipes Up for Sale in the Shop
Got a couple extra Monster Pipes for sale. Very rare, these are all sold out, all 4 series. Each toy is approximately 4" tall and comes with several accessories (see photos). Retails in shops for $200+ each, I'm selling these for $100 each. I only have two extra - available in my shop.

Purser Rigged and Parish Damned
Just finished this one. Watercolor and ink on cold press watercolor paper, about 18x24". Started life as a sketch for a t-shirt graphic job and wasn't picked up, and I liked it, so I continued with it on my own. I can probably arrange digital prints if anyone would like to buy one, and I might eventually take the inkwork and recolor digitally for the next 1000styles t-shirt graphic, we'll see how much spare time I have in the near future. Anyway hope you dig it.

Dawn of Time Tattoo
Wow, it's been a while. I'm working on a few new projects but I don't do this stuff fulltime so things move slowly sometimes, and I can't always release new art until the client releases it first. However, I did just finish this logo for Dawn of Time Tattoo, a new shop that just opened up on Tipp Hill here in Syracuse, by a longtime friend and art/crime/beer associate, Chris Sosa. Hope you enjoy. And I should have some more new artwork up soon...

Monster Pipe - Medical Waste Series
Just finished this packaging art for Beau Bajjaly's Monster Pipes - Medical Waste Series (#4). The line separating the clear illustration and the blurred out/grayed out area is the die line. Everything inside will become the finished product packaging, after Beau adds his finishing touches (product informational text, logos, minor finishing elements, etc.). These pipes have just been finished so I don't have actual finished product photos yet, but I'll upload some as soon as I get them.

Monster PIpes
Here's some packaging illustration I did recently for Beau Bajjaly's Monster Pipes. Beau's always on some next level ish and this series is no exception. He's combining the designer toy culture with the glass pipe art culture - I'm pretty sure it's the coolest idea I've ever heard of. I'm glad to be a part of it. Here are some images of the first two pipes in the series and related art (art by me, text placement/design by Beau). The top two panels in each image are the front and back art, bottom left is the actual packaged toy (limited to 100 pieces each), and the bottom right is a closeup. The next edition is out soon, I'm working on the art for it right now.

Meat Grinder
I guess I may as well post this one - it was done a while back for Gym Class Heroes but was unfortunately never used. I was hoping to be able to use it for another band at some point, but I don't want it to remain unseen until it's no longer relevant, so here it is. It is for sale, if there's any band out there that would like it (albeit with adjusted lettering, of course).

ἢ τὰν ἢ ἐπὶ τᾶς
My recent ascent into fatherhood has kept me from being able to create new artwork (though my definition of art now includes my daughter), so I haven't posted in a while. But - I was finally able to get back into something this week, mostly painted during naps (hers, not mine). This started as the inkwork for the Gym Class Heroes' Berserkers graphic I did (which was colored digitally), now watercolored and with new lettering. In case anyone cares, the lettering is greek and means "Either [with] it [your shield], or on it" - a spartan battle motto, meaning you either come home with your shield (victorious), or on it (honorable death in battle). Those were the only two choices.
