Liquid Death
This graphic was done for the water company Liquid Death for their clothing line. They wanted a 90's-style monster truck t-shirt graphic, but with a hearse as the truck, so I came up with this. I'm very into all things hot rod, racing and monster truck so this was a lot of fun to do. The original approved green graphic seen here was eventually altered to the red version you see in the photo below by Liquid Death to better suit their demographic. I like both colorways but I think I'm still a little more partial to the green. Anyway, it's available on their site right now if you want to pick one up.

Mastodon - 4.30.22 Milwaukee
My latest and third poster for the boys in Mastodon, for their show 4.30.22 in Milwaukee, WI and the Eagles Ballroom. Continuing to draw on themes of life, death, creation and rebirth presented throughout the band's latest record, Hushed and Grim, I chose to develop a visual interpretation of the ancient Egyptian solar diety Khepri. Khepri represents the rising morning sun, creation, and rebirth in ancient Egyptian culture, among other things and was frequently depicted as a scarab beetle. I'll have some copies of these available in my webstore pretty soon. Sign up for my mailing list to be notified first!

Gearhead - R.E. Ginna Maintenance
Recently completed this graphic for the Maintenance crew at the R.E. Ginna powerplant in Ontario, NY. It's going to be printed on t-shirts, hoodies, and Dickies work shirts for those guys. I also have a version of this art without the R.E. Ginna verbiage available as a print, in two different sizes, right here in my shop for anyone who likes the art but doesn't happen to be a part of the powerplant crew. Big up the 315!

Carolina Rebellion
This is a poster commission done for the Carolina Rebellion festival that happened last weekend in Concord, NC. This one was a lot of fun - I used to have a Pinto sort of like the one I drew in this poster, although mine rode at normal ride height and had quite a bit more rust. I haven't seen any of these printed, if you went to the show and have one, send me a photo!

HYDRA-MATIC!
For those of you following my last few posts on Instagram and Facebook working on this piece, here it is done (finally). Sorry about the watermark, but I've been experiencing some bootlegging lately.
This will be expertly screenprinted in 6 colors on really nice French paper within the next couple weeks by the homies at Zink Screenprinting in Oswego, as the first part of a local artist exclusive print series they're starting up.
For anyone interested in buying a print, I've set up a pre-order in my webstore at 1000styles.bigcartel.com (or link to right). I won't have many of them (less than 20) - if you want one, don't wait on it.
I'll post photos of the screening process and finished prints as soon as I can. Hope you like it, I put a lot of time and myself into this one.

Teenage Time Killers
Been a while since I've updated this blog! If you're interested in my work, follow me on Instagram (@1000STYLES) or on Facebook (facebook.com/thousandstyles) for more frequent updates, I tend to post there before anywhere else.
I'll get this site/blog up to date soon, I hope, but in the meantime, here's a recent project. I got to do this t-shirt graphic for the Teenage Time Killers, who are some kind of crazy million-member supergroup including members of like 30 different bands like Lamb of God, Corrosion of Conformity, Slipknot, Foo Fighters, etc. It's a pretty big project. They have an album coming out July 31, can't wait to hear it. This was a fun graphic to do, I'd definitely like to do more like this!

SHANK OR DIE
Got a chance today to shoot some photos of this piece I did recently for the Deck the Halls all-skate-deck art show at the SALTQuarters Gallery here in Syracuse. This piece is now sold and it's gonna be hard to let go of it, but I guess that's just all the more reason to get into the next one! I decided against trying to scan it because of the curvature of the board, so I tried to get some good photos instead. Here's the shot of the whole thing followed by some closeups. Lighting isn't optimal, even though I was outside (in single-digit temperatures, no less) when I shot it, but you get the idea. It does look better in person, but what are you gonna do. I'll take what I can get, I'm no pro photographer. Hope you dig it.

Sketch Collection Booklet
I've gotten some pretty good response on some of my recent pencil drawings, so I decided to put a bunch of them together in a booklet format to make available in my webstore. Since they're just drawings and not really finished pieces, it made more sense to me to do it this way to to try and make prints of them or sell the originals (which would have to be literally ripped from the book and I don't want to do that). So I scanned them at high resolution and created this booklet - it's 32 pages of gory, dripping, violent, disturbing characters that make people think I'm a sadistic torture-killer just waiting for the right moment to murder a bus full of tourists or something. But chances are, since you're already here on my site, you're into this kind of thing and you likely won't be offended. Most of these drawings have already been published on this site or on my various social media, but in low resolution, small size, and sometimes just photos, not scans - so this booklet collects them all in one convenient place in high quality print. I thought it was a cool way to make them accessible and affordable to those who might be interested. You could potentially take the booklet apart and create like little 30 prints to hang up if you wanted. Anyway, here's a preview - and it's available in the webstore here. I'll sign each copy, and it comes with a bunch of stickers too. Word up!

PYRITHION \m/
Did this t-shirt graphic recently for death metal band Pyrithion but it's unfortunately never going to see the light of day. Super bummed about that because I really like how this turned out, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Thought I'd at least put it up and get a little self-promo out of it. It's hand-drawn pen & ink, scanned and then colored digitally. Enjoy!

"You must have big rats if you need Hattori Hanzo steel...."
This one was a lot of fun. Gotta do more like this. A private commission - pen and ink with watercolor, 8x10". Working small like this was cool, much easier to get into it than my usual larger finished size.

High on Fire "what if"
Did this as another "what-if" project, something I might do for High on Fire if they ever contracted me to do some t-shirt art for them. Fun little piece...

Some Sketches and 'What-if's'
I've been having fun doing some sketchwork recently, thought I'd post a few up. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram (@1000styles) you've already seen these but I wanted to have them here too.
I also did a couple "what-if" sketches, these aren't actual contracted projects from the Black Dahlia Murder or Job For A Cowboy, just took a few minutes with a couple sketches to see what they'd look like as t-shirt graphics for these bands. I liked how they turned out so here they are.
